Popular with fashionable Brits like Jade Jagger and Kate moss, both previous guests, the hotel is contained within a country farm house that dates back to 1880 surrounded by 4 acres of land with freeform azul-blue swimming pool and stacked stone walls that trace the property's edge. Its German-Spanish owners, a married couple, live on-site and meticulously operate the property as well as its small spa called Ibiza Balance.
Cas Gasi is more than just a beautiful farm hotel, its also an eco-friendly destination with working organic farm with homegrown vegetables, olive oil and free range eggs as well as having its own on-site well that keeps the agriculture landscape rich and vibrant throughout the island's dryer summer months. Breakfast and dinner takes place in a Mediterranean-style dining room with communal tables and impeccable selection of fresh-grown produce, locally caught fish and grass-few meats from the mainland. A small bar serves happy hour and midnight aperitifs with views of the rolling hills and distant mountainside of interior Ibiza.
The Room
More like the private residence of a really stylish relative, the main hotel offers just 12-guest room spilled along a tranquil hillside with rustic original stone accents and mix of traditional European décor and more rustic bohemian design elements. Each room is individually decorated with whitewashed walls and built-in bookshelves arranged in rows of vintage books and left-behind novels. Antique doors and windows frame pristine views of interior Ibiza, with not an ocean in sight, but still only 15-minutes to Salinas Beach or the ever-energetic Dalt. Larger junior suites or deluxe suites offer the additional perks of separate sitting rooms, larger terraces, fireplaces and better views priced at a 20-40% premium.
